Penny Herman Grisamore

Company Founder/Partner

Penny Herman Grisamore has unparalleled experience in mass tort and MDL litigation. During the course of the last seventeen years, she has been the administrator and ‘go to’ person for many of the most prominent mass tort electronic repositories, including Propulsid, Vioxx, and Chinese Drywall. She currently serves as the litigation support manager for both the GranuFlo MDL and the coordinated state proceedings in Massachsetts.

Mrs. Grisamore began her career when she worked at the nationally renowned plaintiff’s law firm of Herman, Herman & Katz in New Orleans, during summers while in college. She was then hired as a full-time paralegal at HHK, where she was responsible for organizing, maintaining and providing trial assistance for the celebrated national and statewide litigation against the tobacco industry. She next became manager of the Propulsid MDL repository, which housed well over two million documents. Penny personally developed the Propulsid trial package and assisted in three bellweather trials. With each new MDL that she was hired to manage, Penny gained invaluable experience in database design and administration, as well as creatively organizing discovery documents and critical work product in online collaborative platforms.

Working at HHK gave Penny the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with, and learn frorn her father, Russ Herman, and her brother, Stephen Herman – two of the most prominent plaintiff lawyers in the country.

Following the Katrina disaster in 2005, Penny Grisamore moved to Florida, still overseeing the Propulsid repository, yet also assuming management of the Vioxx MDL repository. She was next hired to manage the Chinese Drywall MDL, where she continued to set the gold standard for database design and administration, workflow designs, and effectively organizing and maintaining massive volumes of work product. For Chinese Drywall, Penny was the lead trial paralegal in four bellweather trials, serving as liaison to litigation team members and third party vendors.
